FAQs

What is spiritual direction?

Spiritual Direction invites you to explore your spiritual journey and your relationship with God. This usually happens through prayer, dialogue, and quiet. The director usually listens and may ask questions for you to reflect on where you are in your journey. Together, you listen for where the Spirit may be moving.

How does Spiritual direction work?

We meet one-on-one for about an hour. Usually meetings are held once a month. Spiritual Direction can take place in-person or online, depending on the situation.

What do we discuss in Spiritual Direction?

You can discuss anything that feels relevant. You may be struggling with an upcoming decision, or something may be weighing on your heart that you want to discuss. Spiritual Direction is a safe place to explore where you are. You can also come simply to pray and listen for God.

Why be part of a small group?

Small groups offer an opportunity for support and reflection in a communal setting. They are a place of trust, sharing, and processing life. We all need a safe space to journey with others and to know we are not alone. Small groups provide that space for connection and authenticity.

How does a small group work?

Each small group sets a pattern for meeting, it could be weekly for a season, or monthly. There may be questions or prayers to engage in your time together. You are invited to show up as you are and share as you feel led. You will never be forced to share.
